Gumboots & Ponies at Spicers Hiddenvale

We were thrilled to be a part of Angela and Patrick’s country wedding at Spicers Hiddenvale set in the Lockyer Valley in South East Queensland. It was so glorious they had sunshine, they had rain AND they had Ponies… ok well, one was a pony and one was a donkey but “ponies” sounds so much cuter!

The ceremony was set outside under the old fig tree looking out onto the Lockyer Valley and Great Dividing Range. Angela and Patrick love rich warm tones and textures, their ceremony featured our Prop It Pretty Dark Wooden Four Post Arbour dressed with gorgeous peach and rich berry toned Green and Bloom florals. The wedding ceremony welcome sign created by chalk artist Nick Vongentry was placed on our Pine Wooden Easel and our Glass Jars with loops were featured along the aisle. Our Wooden Feature boxes clustered together with our Apothecary Brown Bottle vases all filled with more pops of Green and Blooms florals adding rich colour to the overall rustic charm of the ceremony.

The Bride and Groom’s love for warm textures continued into the reception which was held onsite in the rustic barn reception area. Our Oatmeal Table Runners worked as a beautiful neutral base to showcase our Apothecary Brown Bottle vases and gold accents through the lighting created a warm and ambient atmosphere. Our modern range of Gold Dipped Votives and Gold Rim Tealight holders were a perfect modern accent. The Barn room also featured a large stone fireplace dressed with rich berry toned Green and Bloom floral arrangements and our Modern Cylindrical Vases with Pillar candles provided more ambient lighting. The dessert table featured our wooden rounds as rises for some seriously mouth-watering treats made by Vanilla Pod, yum! Other items hired for the reception include, Mr & Mrs wooden chair signs and our wooden Card sign.

The beautiful “ponies” were from Brisbane Pony Parties, they looked so amazingly gorgeous with their fresh floral halos from our sister company Green and Bloom.

We just love the rustic warm textures of Angela and Patrick’s wedding day. A big thank you to them for letting Prop It Pretty play such a beautiful part in making it so memorable.
